It's been awhile since the last Blog Soup!
"Blog Soup" is just a term I use to describe all the little bits of news I wanna share with you all. The biggest news is this month is that we're having a Contest!
Hate weaving in ends? The Russian join is an excellent technique for attaching a new skein of yarn or for changing colors. Best of all, it creates a secure join, so you can keep crocheting or knitting without worrying about yarn ends! [link]
If you missed seeing Shauna Richardson's Lion Heart Project while it was in London during the Olympics, you still have time to check out the last leg of the UK tour. Find out where it will be next here [link]
We will advertise members' contests and those of affiliated groups! Just send us a note! Here are a couple going on that I know of:
The Artisan Craft Challenge "Maps and Lost Places" is going on until Sept. 20
#Plushie-Database Bags and Pouches Contest going until Sept. 28
#Simply-Plush September Contest theme Celebrating the Uncelebrated
Check out this cute FREE knit pattern. It's a headband AND a mini-cowl! On Ravelry [link]
This one is a pretty, uniquely textured crochet cowl. Also FREE, also on Ravelry [link]
We are holding a month-long contest for September!
This is an AMIGURUMI contest. Your entry must be of that style.
We will have separate contest folders for knit and crochet, submit your project to the corresponding folder. Please submit to the correct folder!
Only entries made during the contest month are eligible.
Please say in your description that your submission is for our contest!
Four winners will be picked for this contest. One winner will be picked by the founder =Brookette and another winner will be randomly selected for each folder knit and crochet.
If you would like to donate a prize let us know! You can still enter even if you donate.
