3 deviants said CALLING ALL CRAFTERS!EDIT: for all the non crafters out there, if you have any ideas to help I am all ears!  Write a comment or a note and we'll figure something out!
Hello!  I've been volunteering with a group called Ruff Patches that rescues and finds homes for animals in the Los Angeles, CA area.  I had the bright idea to start making kitty toys to sell at our next big event (end of the month, MAY!).  They're coming out really nice.  I use the "fun fur" yarn with another yarn (to help my expensive "fun fur" yarn last longer) to make a small ball (cat toy sized).  For one variation I put a large bell inside, and other I put cat nip and stuffing.  They're looking great so far!  But I thought, heck, at most I can make 50 of these before the deadline.  If we sell them for $2 each we'll have $100.  Every little bit counts, but when you're paying for vet bills, boarding costs at kennels, pet food, transportation costs... one hundred dollars doesn't go a long w

No deviants said American Cancer Society FundraiserA friend of mine has asked for me to crochet a few blankets and crafts to help her raise money for the American Cancer Society. I am hoping I could surprise her with all sorts of crafted goodies from all over the world. She will be having two fundraisers: one in mid-July and one in early December. If you would be interested in helping out our cause, please send out your donations by June 30th for the first fundraiser and November 20th for the second. This means quite a bit to me and I know it will mean the world to her. You can send donations to the following address: 1825 Schramling Road Corry, PA 16407.
P.S. I will make sure to update with pictures and how much money was raised for each event!

Oh Brookette, have you ever seen this before?  If you haven't yet paid out the $$$ for the fancy crochet hooks, maybe you could do this? dabblesandbabbles.com/diy-poly…
